Personal Care
Bryant’s left foot and leg are extremely sensitive. If turning him in bed be sure to fully support his left hip if you are moving the left leg. If using the Hoyer lift and you need to get his legs around the middle bar/support, please choose to bend his RIGHT leg around the post, not the left.
Elizabeth will forget to use her walker. She is unstable and is at risk of falling. You need to make sure she is safe walking around. If she disappears into the back bedroom or bathroom please check on her after awhile to make sure she is ok.
You will need you to proactively ask her if Elizabeth is hungry. She will need to know what food options are available to her.
Elizabeth has a pink metal cup with straw for her water. She drinks water regularly so you will need to keep it full with ice (from the ice maker).
Food Locations
Bryant can only reach fridge items in the bottom tray, bottom shelves of the door, and at the front of the main bottom shelf.
Drinks for Bryant: Diet Coke, V8, orange juice. He cannot drink caffeinated beverages, only caffeine-free!!
Serve the V8 and/or orange juice as requested – Bryant likes cold drinks so be sure the fridge is stocked!
Reuse soda bottles and fill with V8 and orange juice to prevent spillage in bed. Fill up empty soda bottles with orange juice and V8, place in from right bottom door drawer of fridge. It is your responsibility to make sure he has drinks in the fridge!
Meal Preparation/Serving
All meals should be served on the rectangular serving trays located to the left of the microwave. Clean them off if they are dirty.
Serve with napkin and spoon or fork as needed. Elizabeth prefers smaller forks, Bryant prefers larger forks.
Utensils are located in the top drawer directly opposite the dishwasher, near but not connected to the fridge.
Use the silicone flower petal trivet or black silicone oven square (both are on top of the microwave) underneath bowls/plates to keep them from sliding around on the tray.
If Bryant is in bed, serve the meal tray directly on top of him, not on the rolling hospital tray.
Breakfast (Bryant)
Bryant typically enjoys 2 or 4 Jimmy Dean sausage patties along with either cream gravy or waffles and sugar free syrup and “butter” (I can’t believe it’s not butter tub in fridge). Ask him what he wants!
